Session and feedback form: the tester's path

Once you are in a round, your session page tells you when and where you play, and after the game you fill in the creator’s questionnaire here.

The session page

Your session opens from the call page with the Open button.

• Online session: the time shows in your own time zone. Add to calendar puts it in Google Calendar or Apple Calendar or Outlook (.ics). While the party is on, its code and a QR code are there, and you join with them. As a guest you can only join a table somebody else has already opened.
• In-person session: the venue’s name and address, Open in maps, and, if the creator gave them, what to bring and whom you can reach that day. I’ll be there and I can’t come tell the creator whether to count on you.

Leaving feedback

When the session has started, a Leave feedback button shows on the page. The questionnaire goes step by step: an intro, fun (in stars), rule clarity, length and play again, what worked and what to change, the creator’s own questions and the question for the designer, and finally the review and a thank-you page.

You get only the questions the creator switched on. On the review you decide two things:

• Show my name to other testers: off at first. The creator always sees your name.
• A child played too: if you tick it you can give an age band (6 to 8, 9 to 12 or 13 to 15). Nothing else about the child is kept.

If you send again for the same session, your new answers replace the old ones.

A test party in the Controller

If you join the party of a test session with the Controller and you are signed in, a band stands at the top of the Party page: “This is a test party: game, round name · session note”. The band has a Call for testers link to the round’s page and a Feedback button. A plain party has no band, and neither does a guest.

When the party ends for you, because the host finished it or you left, the same questionnaire opens over the Controller. Later closes it; a reminder then stays on the Join page until you send it (30 days, on this device). The questionnaire is the same as in the Playtest app, and your answer belongs to the session in the same way.
