Notifications

The Notifications page collects the messages about your account: purchases, expiries, failed payments, plans you were given, donations, and when the GreenCloth team asks to look into your account. This page describes how you read them, and how you answer an access request.

The list

The messages stand newest first. A dot and a highlighted background mark the unread ones. Clicking a message’s title marks it as read, and the Mark all as read button marks them all. In the menu the number of unread messages stands next to Notifications.

At the end of many messages a link takes you to where you may have something to do, for example to your plan, or to Stripe’s page for the payment method.

What you get notified about

  • Your plan is active: after your purchase, with the day it ends.
  • Your plan ends in 7 days, and does not renew on its own. Renew takes you to Plans.
  • A failed payment: until when you can update the payment method. Manage billing takes you to Stripe’s page.
  • You were given a plan by the GreenCloth team, with or without an end date.
  • Thank you for your donation.
  • An access request from the GreenCloth team, see below.

An access request

If someone from the GreenCloth team wants to help you, and for that needs to see your account the way you see it, they ask first. The message shows who is asking, why, and until when you can answer. You decide with two buttons: Allow or Decline.

The view is read-only: the team cannot change anything in your account.

Once you have answered, your decision and its time stand in place of the buttons. If you do not answer in time, the request expires.

Rarely, the team may look into your account without asking. You always get a notification about it afterwards, with the time and the reason. This view is read-only too.
