Applying as a tester
If you got a call link, this page tells you what you see, how you sign in, and what the app asks at your first test.
The call page
The link opens the call: the title, the pitch, what the creator wants to learn, the state of the game, and the sessions in your own time zone. One main button follows your situation:
- Join the test if you are not signed in yet (after signing in you come straight back);
- Apply if the creator approves each tester, then Applied, waiting and Withdraw application;
- Join the test if approval is automatic, then You are in.
As a guest you have to choose the session you want to join. With an account you can apply for the whole round too.
As a guest
The sign-in sheet offers Discord, Google or Continue as guest. As a guest your first name is required and your e-mail is not. The e-mail is only for news of new sessions and a reminder.
This browser remembers you, so you do not have to enter anything again. On another device, or after clearing the browser data, you start again as a new guest. You do not get a return link by e-mail.
A guest cannot join a confidential round: there you need a Discord or Google account.
The first-test profile
At your first application we ask your age group and your experience (Casual, Regular, Enthusiast, Designer, each with a short explanation). The creator sees it with your application. We ask once: later rounds do not ask again.
The NDA
On a confidential round, until you accept the NDA only the round’s name, title and pitch show; the feedback form, the game, the version and the cover do not. To accept you type your full name and tick the box. If the creator changes the NDA later, the NDA updated state asks you to accept it again.
Edge states
In a few situations a separate page says what to do: the round is full, closed, recruiting has stopped, the round is invited only (it opens with the personal link), there is no text in your language (you then see another one), the NDA updated, or your application was declined.
