Sessions: when the testers play
A session is when the testers play: a time, an open window or an in-person meeting. This page shows how you add one on the round’s Sessions tab.
Adding a session
Add session opens a two button choice: Online test (a GreenCloth party on the testers’ own devices) or In-person test (a meeting at a place, with a physical table or a TV). The dialog’s title tells you which one you are filling in.
Every session has a note, which is its name in the lists and on the testers’ pages, standing above the time. Write something telling, for example “Wednesday prototype night”. The list also shows the session’s type tag and icon.
Online session
It has two modes:
- At a set time: you give the start and, if needed, the end. Seats and language are optional.
- Any time in a window: testers can play any time inside the window. Leave the start empty and the window is open at once; tick No end date and it stays open until the round closes.
The tester sees the time in their own time zone on the session page.
In-person session
An in-person session needs the start, the venue name and the address. You can add a map link, what to bring, and a contact for the day. An accepted tester sees the venue and can say they will be there. The contact and the venue details go only to accepted testers.
The calendar
A month calendar at the foot of the tab shades the days of the window sessions. Take a session off the list with Remove.
